WAUSEON BOARD OF EDUCATION: Personnel Decisions Made During Special Meeting

The Wauseon Board of Education held a Special Meeting on Wednesday, March 30th at 5:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance being observed. The following items were addressed by the board.

Offered a one-year limited classified contract to Melanie Wyse as the Assistant to the Treasurer/AP/AR, 4 days/week, 6 hours/day, at Step 3 on the approved salary schedule, effective April 4, 2022.

Accepted the resignation of Kaitlin Szozda as the WMS Guidance Counselor, effective May 27, 2022. Accepted the resignation of Jana Leininger as the EMIS Coordinator, effective March 28, 2022.

Approved Kelley Phillips as an As Needed Speech Language Pathologist at $60.00/hour for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.

Approved Susan Restivo as an As Needed Speech Language Pathologist at $60.00/hour for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.


Board members then approved NEOLA Bylaw Policy revisions before moving to enter into executive session regarding a discussion for the employment of an employee.

Following executive session, the board moved to adjourn for the evening.
