ARCHBOLD –A matchup of two of the top two pitchers lived up to the billing as Evergreen’s RJ Shunck and Archbold’s DJ Newman locked horns in the NWOAL opener for both clubs.

The Vikings broke through with what turned out to be the game-winning RBI in the fifth as Hunter Vaculik drilled a single to left to provide the scoring for the Vikings.

SWANTON-Eastwood needed just eight hits to generate 18 runs thanks to 19 walks issued by the Swanton pitching staff as they remained undefeated on the year.

Andrew Badenhop and Caleb Hoffman combined to throw a no-hitter for the Eagles.

ELIDA –Bryan scored four unearned runs in the fifth culminating with an RBI double by Carter Dominique to give them a 4-1 lead and they were able to hold on for the win.

Bianca Phiongphiou spearheaded the Montpelier bats with a 3-4 game and three RBIs. Allison Kaylor singled twice for Edon and Ashley Kaylor added a solo home run in the loss.
