Evergreen 61 North Central 41

METAMORA – Evergreen (2-0) raced to a 35-13 lead at halftime and cruised to a 61-41 win over North Central.

Eli Keifer had eight makes from the field, including two treys, to pace Evergreen with 18 points and Tyson Woodring dropped 15.

Cohen Myers and Joey Burt each had eight points for the Eagles in their season opener.

Skylar Lester fronted Fayette (0-2) with five buckets and 8/9 at the foul line for 18 points.

Wauseon (1-1) was topped in scoring by Landon Hines with 19 points, Tyson Rodriguez had 14, and Elijah McLeod added 12.

MONTPELIER – Montpelier led the Eagles 25-22 after three quarters and held North Central to just two points in the fourth quarter to close out a 32-24 win.

Meara McGee topped the Locos (2-1) with eight points in the second half to end the night with 12 points.

Makinzy King and Darbi Stewart had 10 points each for North Central (0-3) in the setback.

Two Indians (2-1) were in double figures paced by Hayley Meyer with 21 and Mackenzie Stasa added 17.

Sophie Rupp led the way for the Bluestreaks with 16 points, eight rebounds and Carly Grime buried three shots from beyond the arc on her way to 13.
