GIRLS BASKETBALL

Archbold 58 Pettisville 49

ARCHBOLD – Archbold (6-3) held a 29-15 advantage on the boards and gradually pulled way in the second half to trip up the Blackbirds 58-49.

Archbold’s Leah McQuade led all scorers with 14 and Alayna Perez had 10 helped by a 5/6 night at the line.

Ellie Grieser led the Pettisville (4-4) attack with 13 and Amanda Grimm tallied 10.

BOWLING GREEN – A 23-9 second frame brought the Indians (5-3) back from an early 12-10 hole to earn the road win 55-40.

Hayley Meyer dropped a game-high 26 points with nine buckets and 8/10 at the free throw line and Maite Marugan chipped in with 11 for Wauseon.

SHERWOOD – The Apaches were in control from the start as they led 50-7 at halftime and cruised to a 70-21 win over Delta (4-3).

Carrie Zeedyk drained four triples and finished with 20 points, Kelly Crites pumped in 19, and Allison Rhodes netted 10 for Fairview (6-2).


Kendall Sprow was 2/3 at foul line and had two buckets for six points to lead the Panthers.

BRYAN – Bryan (6-1) shutdown the Napoleon offense by holding the Wildcats to less than ten points in each quarter to beat Napoleon (4-4) for the first time since 2017.

Kailee Thiel had 14 points to pace Bryan while Reese Grothaus had 12 and Ella Voight added 10.

WAUSEON – The Indians used a 15-8 third quarter to retake the lead and then survived Southview (0-4) connecting on three treys in the final frame to pull out a 47-41 win.

Tyson Rodriguez registered a double-double for Wauseon (4-2) with 14 points while collecting 10 rebounds, Landon Hines also had 14, and Jack Leatherman added 10.

OTTAWA HILLS – The Vikings (3-2) fell behind 17-6 after one quarter and battled back before falling short 53-51 at Ottawa Hills (2-3).

Eli Keifer topped all scorers with 21 and Tyson Woodring added 14 in the loss.

EDGERTON – Edgerton went 18/23 at the charity stripe in the final quarter and was 23/30 in the game as they picked up their first win of the season.

Nathan Swank paced a balanced effort from Edgerton (1-3) with 16, Cory Herman had 11 and Corey Everetts notched 10.

Daniel Donovan and Elijah Juillard had 11 each for Stryker (9-21), who was just 9/21 from the free throw line.
