CCS … Jennifer Pershing is the CEO of Compassionate Care Sanctuary. She works with volunteers to make the lives of cats and other animals in our area better.

The Compassionate Care Sanctuary is a not for profit 501c(3) with a mission to provide long-term care to cats and other small animals who are difficult to place due to their needs.
It is also part of their mission to conduct and promote TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) to reduce the suffering of homeless community cats and strays.
Both a grant and community donations pay for the program. Compassionate Care Sanctuary is active with Humane Ohio which provides the spaying and neutering at a minimal cost.
Humane Ohio also a nonprofit, did neuter about 90 cats last year for the Compassionate Care Sanctuary.
The months of January and February are not months that they are active due to the cold weather.
A large part of Compassionate Care Sanctuary’s program is the TNR program and is done with the help of local volunteers and Humane Ohio.
They have some rabbits that are available for adoption along with two kittens and four adult cats.
Every kitten or cat is kept isolated for two weeks before they are mixed in with the general population.
All of them are placed with vaccinations, and tested for diseases, wormed and free of any disease. The placement fee is $50 for adults and $75 for kittens.
CCS will assist and educate community members wishing to rescue orphaned and sick kittens. Jennifer has a goal of educating and helping people who wish to learn how to take care of and foster kittens.
She currently provides information and resources to people who do not know what to do.
Donations can be made via a check mailed to P.O. Box 53, Delta, Ohio 43515. They also have a website and are on Facebook.
There is a donations wish list available by PDF, Chewy, Amazon, or on their donation page on their website.
Because they are a nonprofit, your gift is tax deductible. If you wish to donate to help out with the suffering of homeless cats, then it is best to give your dollars to a local shelter where they will have the most impact in your community.
Your gift will often have a larger impact if given to your local shelter because the dollars get directly to the animals in need.

Jennifer Pershing is the founder and president of the Compassionate Care Sanctuary. Before founding the Sanctuary, she worked at the Fulton County Humane Society.
She accomplishes most of what she does now with the help of volunteers. There is a small board of Dianne Scherer, Suzanne Eames, and Jennifer Pershing, CEO.
It is best to make contact with Jennifer thru Facebook or the website before stopping in for a visit as she has several long-term live in cats at the Sanctuary who are very vulnerable to illnesses as they are permanently disabled either thru an accident or birth.
Since she maintains a home for them, it is important to not introduce other diseases like feline leukemia into the Sanctuary. If you have donations of items, please use the drop box.
The community can help in several ways. One way is to be a supporter of the TNR program; another way is to adopt the animals she has available for adoption, and lastly supporters of the Compassionate Care Sanctuary can donate their dollars or purchase items from the wish lists that are on Chewy, Amazon, the CCS website, and Facebook.
