Sue (Perkins) Brock, age 83, of Wauseon, Ohio passed away under Elara Hospice Care at her home surrounded by her family after a valiant lengthy battle with lung cancer. She battled fiercely until the end.

Sue was born on January 30, 1940 in Fulton County and was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Anna (Frye) Perkins.

Sue graduated from Swanton High School, Class of 1958, and married Louis “Louie” Brock on June 22, 1958. They were married for 60 years until he preceded her in death in 2018.

Sue is survived by her three sons, Rick (Cyndy), Randy (Kelly), and Robert (Liz), and her grandchildren, Jordan Brock, Quincy (Jordan) Lauf, Dustin Tanner, Chase Brock, and Sean Brock and six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Sue is also survived by sisters, Dorothy Smith and Betty (Ray) Kolodziejczyk.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Robert Perkins, Mary Bowman, Gerry Perkins, Jackie Bowman,  Barbara Stine and Doris Cleghorn. She is also preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Sue met many people as she worked as a waitress at Smith’s Restaurant, Kay’s Restaurant, and Charlie’s Restaurant in the Wauseon area.

Sue then went on to manage Buckeye Estates along with Louie for over 20 years. She always tried to mail a birthday card or sympathy card to all those that resided in Buckeye Estates.

She was a member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Grand Rapids Sportsman’s Club.

Sue enjoyed going to her sons’ and grandchildren’s sporting events and her favorite sport was basketball.

She cherished the time she spent with the Bunco Ladies and enjoyed getting together playing cards with friends and family and was a fierce competitor. In her spare time, she worked on puzzles.

There will be no visitation and the funeral service will be private. The Brock family will plan a “Celebration of Life” and that will be announced at later date.

The Brock family ask that any donations be made to their donor’s favorite charity in Sue’s memory or to Sue’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Emmaus Lutheran Church, Wauseon, Ohio.
