The second annual “You’re Full of Baloney” night was held last week at the historic Fayette Opera House. In conjunction with the Bean Creek Coffee House showcasing local talent, entrants in At Large (Amateur) and Professional categories competed to see who had the best bologna.

This was the final night of the Coffee House Series where young and old take to the microphone to entertain and perfect their performances.

During intermission, guests sampled all of the bologna entries and purchased votes for their favorites. This year’s winners were AT LARGE : 1st place – Thick As a Mule’s Lip by the Fayette Opera House, 2nd place – Slap Yo Mama by Julie and Tom Miller of Elmira, Ohio, and 3rd place – Sweet Deliverance by the Fayette Christian Church. PROFESSIONAL winners were 1st place – Bean Creek Bologna by Ken Thatcher of Wauseon. Tying for second place was Brookview Farms with their Garlic Bologna and Pettisville Meats with their Jalapeno and Cheese entry.

The Opera House invites you to come back on March 24th for “Pie-loney”. Bologna sliders will be served from the winning entries, along with pie and a drink. Entertainment will be made up from Bean Creek Coffee House favorites. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door which opens at 5:30.
