John A. Kline, age 72, of Edon, Ohio, passed away at 2:45 P.M. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

John worked as a finisher at Titan Tire and retired with over 40 years of service. He was a US Army veteran who served as a mechanic in Alaska during the Vietnam War.

John enjoyed tinkering, building things- including helping build his home, gaming on his X-Box, music and had a large saltwater aquarium for many years.

He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Indians (he would not call them the Guardians) and NASCAR’s Bill Elliot.

He was a graduate of Edon High School.  John married Gala C. Mailand on August 20, 1977 in Edon and she survives.

John is also survived by his son, Casey A. Kline, of Edon; daughter, Kendra C. Kline, of Lorton, Virginia; sister, Patricia Kline, of Irvine, California; brother, Willard (Paula) Kline, of Bryan; many nieces and nephews; and his adored pets, Murphy, Daisy, Jethro, Baby and Stanley. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry L. Kline.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. A celebration of John’s life will be held immediately following with Chaplain Larry Kennedy officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be directed to CHP Home Health Care & Hospice or the Williams County Humane Society.
