BRYAN CITY COUNCIL: Doc’s Diesel Awarded Building Permit For East Edgerton Street

The Bryan City Council met on November 6, 2023 at 5:30 p.m., starting with the pledge of allegiance.

Present were CFO / Treasurer John Lehner, Mayor Carrie Schlade, Council President Richard Hupe, Council Vice President Judy Yahraus, John Betts, Mary Leatherman, and Councilor Jim Kozumplik.

The minutes from the October 16, 2023 meeting were approved with one correction to the text under the section where the end of video recordings of meetings was discussed.

An ordinance providing for the transfer of funds for the 2023 annual budget transfers was then approved on its first reading after a suspension of the rules.

Appropriations for the City of Bryan for fiscal year ending December 31, 2023 were approved on their first reading after the rules were suspended.

A building permit was then awarded to Doc’s Diesel for the addition of warehouse space at 614 East Edgerton Street in Bryan.

Everyone was encouraged to vote, and all veterans were wished a wonderful veterans day.

Mayor Carrie Schalde then introduced Marc Fishel, the city attorney, before council voted to enter executive session for the acquisition of property.
