Pettisville Dismantles Fayette In Five Innings

(May 4th, 2015) – PETTISVILLE: Hosting fellow Fulton County team Fayette, Pettisville had an easy time dispensing of their Buckeye Border Conference foe. The Lady Blackbirds laid claim to the home win in five innings of play.

Pettisville bested Fayette 23-0.

Teagan Kauffman pitched her way to victory, remaining on the mound for three innings. She gave up no runs, and just 1 hit. The Blackbird sophomore had 1 strikeout and 1 walk. Freshman teammate Kyra Behnfeldt was called upon to finisht the last two innings.

Taking the loss on the Lady Eagle’s behalf was Kaitlin Brubaker. In two innings of work, the sophomore allowed 8 runs from 12 hits. She struck out 2 Pettisville batters, walking 6 more.

Amber Klopfenstein and Stephanie Hubby each hit for 3 singles and a double. Jaelyn Rufenacht gathered 4 hits, each of them singles.


Brubaker also had her team’s only hit of the game, earning a double for Fayette.
