The Village of Metamora conducted its yearly Parade of Lights last weekend. Originally set for Sunday, December 3rd, the event was rescheduled for Sunday, December 10th.

The parade showcased the Evergreen High School Band, who marched through the streets and spread Christmas cheer.

Preceding the parade, the Evergreen Young Vikings Choir performed in front of the Metamora State Bank, enhancing the festiveness of the occasion. At 5:30 p.m., the parade commenced, with young children eagerly awaiting their gifts of candy.

Post-parade, visitors were welcomed to the Metamora-Amboy Fire Department to partake in a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus and capture pictures with him.

The Evergreen Community Library was also present at the venue, providing books to children in attendance who desired them.
