FULTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Swancreek Ditch Petition Dismissed

COMMISSIONERS … The Fulton County Commissioners work to approve items listed on the day’s agenda.

The Fulton County Commissioners held their first meeting of the week on Tuesday, February 20th. The meeting began at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.

Minutes from the previous meeting were then approved, along with the current agenda and payment of the bills. The following agenda items were then approved.

– Resolution 2024-154 Increase & Transfer Appropriations for Various Departments.


– Resolution 2024-155 Authorize Former Board President to Execute Sub-Grant Award on behalf of Fulton County Sheriff.

– Resolution 2024-156 Authorize Board President to Execute ODSA OCEAN User Role and Assignments.

– Resolution 2024-157 Authorize the Transfer of Real Property to Fulton County CIC.


– Resolution 2024-158 Cancel Bid Opening for Bridge TSR108.5 Replacement Project.

– Resolution 2024-159 Accept Resignation of Senior Center Employee.

– Resolution 2024-160 Approve Personnel Request for Senior Center.

– Resolution 2024-161 Accept Retirement Resignation of JFS Employee.


– Resolution 2024-162 Approve Purchase Orders and Travel Requests.

Commissioners then entered into recess at 9:05 a.m. and returned at 9:14 a.m. for the continued final hearing for ditch 2150 – Swancreek Township.

It was stated that the hearing was continued to give the township time to collect the money for this project from current landowners.

Rick Kazmierczak stated that the property owners were given until February 15th to pay their portion of the project and that everyone had completed that. The funds needed to move forward have been received.

Commissioners then moved to approve Resolution 2024-163 Dismiss Ditch Petition 2150 – Swancreek. The meeting was then adjourned at 9:22 a.m.

Commissioners then held their second meeting of the week on Thursday, February 22nd. The meeting began at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.

Minutes from the prior meeting were then approved, along with the current agenda as amended. The following items were then approved.

– Resolution 2024-166 Increase & Transfer Appropriations for Various Departments.

– Resolution 2024-167 Transfer Funds for Internal Services.

– Resolution 2024-168 Approve Payment Request #4 to Contract 2023-111 with Midwest Contracting for Fulton County Health Department Expansion.

– Resolution 2024-169 Approve Purchase Orders and Travel Requests.

– Resolution 2024-170 To Execute Letter To Ohio EPA.

With no other items to attend to, the meeting was adjourned at 9:03 a.m.
