BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL: Stryker Escapes Swanton With 50-48 Overtime Win

Stryker 50 Swanton 48 (OT)

SWANTON – The Bulldogs rallied in the final frame to force overtime but were held without a field goal in the extra session as Stryker (11-11) escaped with a 50-48 win.
Michael Donovan nailed five triples and led Stryker with 20 points and Daniel Donovan added 11.

Three Bulldogs hit double digits topped by 14 points from Charlie Wood, Brady O’Shea had 13, and Evan Reinhard added 12.

Stryker starts tournament play on February 28 at Pettisville in a Division IV sectional semifinal.

STRYKER (50) – M. Donovan 20; Myers 3; LaBo 3; Cadwell 7; D. Donovan 11; Froelich 0; W. Donovan 6; Montague 0; Totals: 10-7-9 – 50

SWANTON (48) – Mersing 1, O’Shea 13; Young 0; Ruiz 8; Carrizales 0; Reinhard 12; Nofziger 0; Lemon 0; Wood 14; Totals: 8-9-5 – 48
