ann charlesMystery author Ann Charles will be making a visit to the West Unity Branch Library on Monday, July 13th at 1:00 pm and will then be at the Stryker Branch Library on Tuesday, July 14th from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Ann will be having an informational talk and book signing at both library branches. Her books will be available to purchase.

Ann Charles is an award-winning author who writes mysteries that are splashed with romance and humor. Her book Nearly Departed in Deadwood won the 2010 Daphne du Maurier for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense Award and the 2011 Romance Writers of America Golden Heart Award for Best Novel With Strong Romantic Elements.

Currently, she has several fiction books available: Nearly Departed in Deadwood (multiple award-winning book for both mystery and romance/mystery), Optical Delusions in Deadwood (selected as one of Suspense Magazine’s BEST OF 2012 books), Better Off Dead in Deadwood, and An Ex to Grind in Deadwood, which are all part of her ongoing Deadwood Mystery Series.

Also available from Ann are the first three books in her Jackrabbit Junction Mystery Series: Dance of the Winnebagos, Jackrabbit Junction Jitters, and The Great Jackalope Stampede.

Look What the Wind Blew In, the first book in her new Dig Site Mystery series, is now available, too. This book stars Quint Parker, the brother of Violet Parker—the heroine in her Deadwood Mystery series. It’s filled with mystery, humor, adventure, and a splash of romance.

She has a few short stories as well—Deadwood Shorts: Seeing Trouble and Boot Points (short stories from her Deadwood Mystery Series) and The Old Man’s Back in Town (a short story from her upcoming Goldwash Mystery Series).

Stay tuned for the following new books by Ann coming in 2015:
* Meanwhile, Back in Deadwood (Deadwood Mystery Series #6)–summer
* The Rowdy Coyote Rumble (Jackrabbit Junction Mystery Series #4)–late fall

Born and raised in Northwest Ohio, Ann currently lives in the beautiful mountains in Northern Arizona. A member of Sisters in Crime and Romance Writers of America for many moons, Ann has a B.A. in English with an emphasis on creative writing from the University of Washington. Recently, she was awarded a Distinguished Alumni award for 2015 from Northwest State Community College (NW Ohio) where she received an Associate’s Degree years ago.

When she is not dabbling in fiction, she is arm wrestling with her two kids, attempting to seduce her husband, and arguing with her sassy cat. Most nights, you can find her hanging out over at www.anncharles.com, on Facebook as Ann Charles, or as AnnWCharles on Twitter—especially around midnight when her quirky fictional world comes to life.

You don’t want to miss the opportunity to hear Ann Charles in person! Both author events will feature snacks and refreshments for guests. If you are unable to attend the book signings, you can purchase Ann Charles’ books online at www.amazon.com
