The female Athlete of the Week is Montpelier softball player Madelyn Hopper. Last Friday in a pair of wins over Pettisville, Hopper went five innings allowing just one hit with 13 strikeouts in game one and then went all seven innings in game two with 17 strikeouts and recorded her third career no-hitter.
