Josephine Clark

Josephine “Jo” Clark, age 90, wife of Selwyn “Bud” Clark and long time resident of Holiday City was called to her maker at her home on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

Jo was born on August 15, 1924 in Tekonsha, Michigan and graduated from Marshall, Michigan High School in 1942. She retired from North Central Local Schools in 1985 after serving as the secretary for 11 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kunkle and later in Montpelier, she was a part of Lydia’s Circle. Jo was a founder and very active in C.B.S. Study Club, and volunteered at the Hospital Auxilary in Montpelier. As an involved member of local government, she was a founding member of the Village of Holiday City and served on the village council for many years. Jo also enjoyed playing card with a card club.

She married Selwyn “Bud” Clark on August 6, 1947 in Calhoun County, Lion Lake, Michigan and he preceded her in death in June 2000. Also preceding her in death are her sons Kim and Channing, and her brothers Judson and L. Pat Reincke.

Jo is survived by her two sons, Shawn & Pamela Clark of Holiday City and Kyle & Janet Clark of Cygnet, Ohio; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; one Godchild; brother Larry Reincke of Michigan and close family friend Teresa Taylor and her family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Montpelier or Donor’s Choice. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
