Betty Partin (1935 – 2024)

Betty Lou Partin, age 88, of Stryker, passed away on July 2, 2024, in her home. Betty spent her life caring for her family and her home.

Betty was born on August 11, 1935, in Sandy Hook, KY, to the late Elman and Jewell (Adkins) Hampton. On December 3, 1968, she married Edward Partin, and he survives.


Betty was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Defiance. She was a faithful follower of Christ. Betty was an avid bird watcher. She was known for her green thumb and loved her flowers and her plants.

Betty is survived by her son, Eddie (Crystal) Partin of Archbold; son, Farrell Charles of Kentucky; and grandchildren, Brady, Briena, Jacob, Stephanie, and Brandon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lee Charles; and siblings, Flossie Phillips, Hazel Davis, Minnie Bell Litteral, and Pauline Johnston.

Visitation for Betty will take place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker, from 10am to 12pm. A funeral service will take place after visitation at 12pm, with Pastor Timothy Lucas officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Stryker Oakwood Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Life Church of Defiance.
