Carol Zygmont (1946 – 2024)

Carol Ann Zygmont, age 77, of Archbold and formerly of Parma, Ohio, passed away on August 20, 2024, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.

Carol was born on December 24, 1946, in Parma, to the late Walter and Mildred (Brandt) Herbst.

She graduated of Parma Senior High in 1964. Carol worked for the national office for the United Church of Christ for many years.

She attended the Ridge Road United Church of Christ in Parma, where she sang in the church choir and took part in many other church activities

She loved animals, especially dogs. Her biggest love in life was her family and enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all of their activities.

Surviving Carol is her daughter, Lori (Tim) McQuade of Archbold; granddaughter, Allie (Andrew) Boring of Canton; grandson, Luke (Leyna) McQuade of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Leah McQuade of Archbold; and sister, Rita (Larry) Sheldon of Medina. She was preceded in death by her parents.

All services for Carol will be private through the Grisier Funeral Home of Archbold, with Pastor Andrew Boring officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society in Carol’s memory. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
