Kenneth Lyn Calhoun, of Delta, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at UTMC, after a long fight trying to recover from his accident earlier this year.

He was 62 years young, born December 8, 1961. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his death.

Ken was born in Memphis, TN. He later went to Marion High School where he left to join the Army. Ken, also known as “Chicken,” enjoyed telling stories, helping people, spending time with family and friends, and riding his Harley.

He is a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality. Ken was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart. He was generous, loyal, and brave.

He was a strong fighter but is now riding that Harley on the golden streets in Heaven. We know that he is now free from pain.

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each and every one of them. He made an impact on many lives and will be forever missed dearly as he holds a special place in all the hearts of everyone that was lucky enough to know him. Ken was a great husband, a wonderful father, an amazing papa, and a dear friend. Until we meet again.

Family He Left Behind: Ken is survived by his wife Vicky (Abrigo) Calhoun, children Casey Lyn Calhoun (Carole), Jennifer Marie Campo (Ryan), Max Alan Calhoun (Tess), and stepchildren Molly Smith (Chad), and Kenny Wurns.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Bellah Grace Chattaway, Laynee Brooke Calhoun, Jordan Taylor Fetzer, Raelyn Nicole Fetzer, Chase Alexander Fetzer, Cara Ann Campo, Lillee Lynn Campo, Jade Brynlee Morgan Fetzer, Cami Leigh Calhoun, Drake Alan Calhoun, Charlee Taelor Calhoun, step grandchildren Makenzie Horning (Chirs), Sydney Smith, Drew Smith, Kalee Moehrman (Chris), Kainon Wurns, and step great granddaughter Amelia Moehrman.

Ken leaves behind one brother and four sisters, along with several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Lastly, he leaves behind his canine companion, Cashis. Ken rescued Cashis from an animal shelter a few years ago on Ken’s birthday, wanting to give Cashis the best last years in a loving home.

Ken gave Cashis all the love he could give him until his last day home. Cashis will remain in the care of wife Vicky.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Grisier-Weigel Funeral Home in Delta, Ohio, where funeral services will begin at 12:00 (Noon) with Pastor Derrick Torrey presiding.
