Tickets for this year’s Christmas with the Toledo Symphony concert will go on sale October 30 beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased at Bryan Chamber of Commerce office, 138 S. Lynn St., Bryan, and are $15 for adults and $10 for students. All seats are reserved.

The Symphony’s performance will be held on Thursday, December 5, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan. The tradition of bringing outstanding musicians from the area to perform with the Symphony continues in 2024.

Featured will be vocalist Gavin Askins who has been active in musical theater in the area, including a lead role in last summer’s ACT production of “Children of Eden.”

Gavin is a graduate of Tinora High School and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music, majoring in vocal performance.

Also making a special appearance is Trevor Ewigleben, a professional musician from Indianapolis who is married to Bryan native Katherine Beach.

The trumpet section leader with Indiana’s Army National Guard 38th Infantry Band, he also plays with their jazz combo, jazz big band, and concert band.

Trevor is in demand to play in other jazz big bands, and performs with the Indianapolis Brass Choir, among other musical groups. 2024 marks the 15th year the Symphony has performed in Bryan during the holiday season.

The series began in 2008 and has been held annually except for one year during the COVID pandemic.

The event is organized by a committee of volunteers with the assistance of many others who help with set-up and cleanup, sell tickets, and serve as ushers and greeters in order to bring this musical celebration of the season to Northwest Ohio.
