Glenna Wright (1944 – 2024)

(Former Medic For Williams County EMS)

Glenna M. Wright, 80, of Montpelier passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024 in her home with family at her side.

She was born September 17, 1944 to Francis and Undine (Brentlinger) Severence. She was a 1962 graduate from Edon high school.

In 1972 she married Denver L. Wright, and he survives.

Glenna was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church. Over the course of her life, she worked at Beam Stream, McDonalds, was a medic for Williams County EMS, and provided daycare for children.

Glenna was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church; Miriam Circle and she loved singing in the choir. She was also director of the cherub choir for a few years.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years Denver Wright of Edon; her children, Stephanie Sisley of Edon, Sam Strohl (April) of Edon, LeeAnn Sparks (Joe) of Blakeslee; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Janice Cupp of Bryan and Carol Bailey [Jerry) of Ashley. Glenna was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Glenna will be on Friday, November 22nd from 2-7pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier. A memorial service will take place on Saturday at 11am at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Montpelier with Pastor Kevin Doseck to officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to the church. Condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
