FAYETTE – Beverly B. Kunkle, age 99, of Fayette, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, December 29, 2024, under the care of Heartland Hospice.
She was born in Toledo on January 5, 1925, to the late George L. and Juanita W. (Gleason) Robison.
Beverly attended and graduated from Gorham-Fayette Schools, graduating in 1943.
Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Roger Lee Kunkle in Fayette, on August 10, 1943. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2024, six days after their 81st wedding anniversary, the second longest recorded marriage in Ohio.
Beverly and Roger were lifelong residents of Fayette, and spending 40 plus years as snowbirds in Florida. She was a very dedicated farmer’s wife and very dedicated to her family.
Beverly took great pride decorating her house and Repp’s Restaurant with flowers from her garden. She was an avid card player and had an affectionate love for her dogs.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jane Moor, Julie (Jeffrey) Altman, Sally (Dennis) Robinson, and Larry (Nancy) Kunkle; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Kayleen Benner; son-in-law, Herb Moor; and sister, Paula (Max) Borton.
Graveside services will take place in Pleasant View Union Cemetery, Fayette, and will be private.
