(Decorated Naval Officer)

Michael D. Besançon, 73, passed away in early December 2024 in Camden, MI. He was truly beloved and will be profoundly missed by his wife, four children and their partners, and his first grandchild.

Captain Besançon was a decorated naval officer who served for nearly 30 years, receiving several accolades, licenses, and prestigious degrees.

After retirement, he pursued a second career in academia and then volunteered actively, most notably with The Navy League and The Seeds for Jubilee Foundation.

Mike’s legacy is one of service – to his family, to his country, to his community, and to those whose lives he touched. His contributions will be remembered with deep gratitude by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those who mourn his loss.

If attending the reception afterward, please contact the family for details.
