Lonnie Arthur Seegert, age 74, of Wauseon, surrounded by his loving family, peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 after a short stay at Fulton Manor in Wauseon.
He was born in Adrian, Michigan on June 5, 1950 to the late Arthur Seegert and Doris (Kafer) Seegert.
He attended Lyons High School and on October 21, 1974 married Nila LeMaster. Before retiring, Lonnie served security with Schmidt Brothers Greenhouse in Swanton. He was a talented guitar player and enjoyed his motorcycles, especially his Harley Davison.
Many memories will be cherished of Lonnie giving motorcycle rides to friends and family members. He also was a car enthusiast, whether working on them or visiting car shows.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nila Seegert; children, Scott (Tootie) LeMaster, Ronnie Albers, Shannon (Chris) Hasquin, Kevin Cooper, Shawn Pontious and Shane (Angel) Seegert; brother, Pat (Renee) Seegert; sister, Vicky Braham; sister-in-law, Carol Seegert; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Allan, Terry and Randy Seegert.
In honoring Lonnie’s wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 State Hwy 109 in Delta.
