EDON – Nine of Montpelier’s 13 runs were unearned as the Locos put up a 10-spot in the third to cruise past Edon and into the districts.
Hayden Sharps fronted Montpelier with a triple and two RBIs with Zaine Stull, Logan Pontious, and Drake Farley each adding a double.
The Locos will face Wayne Trace tomorrow in one semifinal in the district tournament at Fairview at 3:30 p.m. while Edgerton will take on Fairview in the second semifinal following the opener.
