Scott Allen Fitzenrider, 57, died July 4th, 2025, at his residence in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. Scott was born in Bryan, Ohio, on December 23rd, 1967 to the late Richard and Helen Fitzenrider.
He married the love of his life, Laura Ann Schieber, at Nazareth Hall on September 4th, 2004.
In their 20 years of marriage, they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, and were just as happy at home in their garden or in the woods with their dogs. As a matter of fact, he never met a pet he didn’t like.
Scott’s trivia knowledge was phenomenal, and he was always adept in the latest technology, especially related to AI and ChatGPT. Other interests included 3-D printing and his laser scanner.
Scott relaxed with books on subjects such as ‘An Informed Text on Vector Calculus’, ‘Artificial Intelligence Prospects’, and ‘Meaning and Form in Mathematics’.
A 1990 graduate of the University of Toledo, Scott was a brother of the Triangle Fraternity. He was an electrical engineer, most recently at Libbey Glass.
Scott is remembered by his loving wife Laura and their two rambunctious dogs. He is survived by three siblings: Nanci Good, Judy (David) Keller, and Ed Fitzenrider; siblings-in-law Tom and Betsy Schieber, Sue and Dean Schroeder, Mike and Theresa Schieber, Lisa and Ian Clark, Marilyn Schnipke, and Matthew Schieber; and beloved nieces and nephews: Levi, Mary (Matt), Andy (Kelly), Amanda, Sam (Matt), Emily (Nick), Sarah, Audrey (Tyler), Hana, Daniel (Danielle), and Logan; and great-nieces Leah and Josie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Helen, parents-in-law Paul and Judy Schieber, brother-in-law Phil Schieber, brother-in-law Mike Good, and nephew Cliff Newton.
A celebration of life and luncheon is planned for August 3rd, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at the Springfield Township Hall located at 7617 Angola Road, Holland OH.
