NWOAL GIRLS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS: Archbold Claims Fifth Straight League Crown

DEFIANCE (September 17, 2021) – Since 2021, the Archbold Lady Streaks have been tough to beat, winning four consecutive Northwest Ohio Athletic League girls’ golf titles, and on Wednesday, September 17, the Blue and Gold claimed another piece of league hardware, winning the league tournament held at Auglaize Golf Club.

Led by individual league medalist Brie Grime, who shot a 77, it was also good enough for the Streaks to capture their fifth consecutive title with a 342, five shots better than runner-up Wauseon, which finished with a 347 score.


Bryan was third with a 366, followed by Delta (382), Evergreen (411), Patrick Henry (423), and Swanton (431) in the final team standings.

Also contributing to the Streaks’ title conquest were Brooklyn Dominique (84), Ella Yoder (89), Payton Dominique (92), Elsie Mello (93), and Makenna Bickel (94).

Joining Grime on the NWOAL first team were Hayden Konieczka of Wauseon (78), Josey Arnold of Bryan (81), Ruth Shelt of Wauseon (82), MacKenzie Grahn of Delta (83), and Brooklyn Rodriguez of Archbold (84).


Second team honors went to Alexis Perez of Wauseon (86), Kenzie Blevins of Bryan (87), Violet Gleckler of Evergreen (88), Ella Yoder of Archbold (89), Elise Wyandt of Patrick Henry (89), Payton Dominique of Archbold (92), and Taylor Shawber of Patrick Henry (92).
