NWOAL FOOTBALL: Liberty Center Extends NWOAL Winning Streak By Blasting Bryan, 76-7

LIBERTY CENTER – Bryan was no match for Division 5 top-ranked and unbeaten Liberty Center as the Tigers roared to an overwhelming 76-7 Northwest Ohio Athletic League triumph over the Golden Bears.

Liberty Center (5-0, 2-0 NWOAL) had eight different players crossing the goal line led by Garrison Kruse who scored three times and J.T. Oelkrug added a pair of scores.

Kruse who rushed for 147 yards on just six carries tallied on runs of 18, 14 and 63 yards. Oelkrug hauled in a 19-yard scoring pass from Kaden Kreinbrink and later returned a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown to begin the second half.

Jake Arnold connected with Jacob Uran on a five-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter for Bryan (1-4, 0-2 NWOAL).

The freshman completed 6 of 10 passes for 84 yards and added 44 yards on seven carries on the ground for Bryan. Another freshman Griffin Fowler had 41 yards on 11 carries.


Liberty Center had a decisive 522-149 edge in total offense, 459 of those yards coming on the ground, with 14 players having at least one carry on the night.

The Tigers, who have now won 28 consecutive NWOAL games and owns a 39-game regular season winning streak, hosts Patrick Henry in a huge league showdown on Friday night.

Bryan finally returns to Golden Bears Stadium after playing four straight road games will entertain Evergreen (4-1, 1-1 NWOAL) in league action the same night.
