(Member Of The Zion Church Of Wauseon)
Harold Curtis Baum went home to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 14, 2026. Harold was born in Fayette, Ohio on June 23, 1939, to Alfred and Tillie (Kaiser) Baum.
He married his loving wife of 67 years, Lila Mae (Tuckerman) Baum on November 29, 1958. Together they had a son Harold Curtis Baum Jr. Harold was a member of the Zion Church of Wauseon.
Harold was a farmer his entire life, having farms in Pettisville, Waldon, Michigan, and, at one time, in Texas. He also raised hogs and had a very special affection for cats.
Harold loved a good hunt, searching for old wooden wagons, along with his wife keeping him in line from talking with whoever crossed his path. He never met a stranger, Harold was always quick with a smile, a joke, and had a special way of making you feel like you’ve known him all his life.
Along with this, he enjoyed going to auctions to get a good bargain, hanging out at The Rychener Seed Co., and going to his monthly “Class Reunion” dinners.
Harold is left to cherish his memory by his wife, Lila Mae; grandson, Daniel Baum; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Harold Curtis Baum Jr.; his parents; brothers, Vern and Glenn; and sisters, Rozella Willams, Mary Ann Poorman, and Virginia Goldsmith.
Visitation for Harold will take place on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home of Wauseon. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 12pm, at the Zion Church of Wauseon, with Pastor Eli Koehler officiating. Burial will be private at the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Zion Church of Wauseon. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home of Wauseon is honored to serve the Baum family.
