DISTRICT CHAMPION … Bryan’s Zoey Gillett was district champion after rolling a 697 series at Interstate Lanes in Rossford.
ROSSFORD – (February 17, 2026) – A pair of area bowlers, Zoey Gillett of Bryan and Kymberlee Yocom of Wauseon have qualified for the Division II state bowling tournament following their performances in the district tournament held at Interstate Lanes.
Gillett, who is only a junior, earned her ticket to state after claiming the individual district title and one of three qualifying berths with an impressive 697 series. She rolled games of 215, 246 and 236.
Yocom, who is a senior, grabbed the third and final individual qualifying berth with a 614 series. She rolled games of 183, 225, and 206.
St. Marys (3,805), Coldwater (3,800) and Napoleon (3,727) earned the top three team state qualifying berths to state. Bryan was fourth (3,474), followed by Sandusky Perkins (3,383), Willard (3,265), Liberty Center (3,161), Eastwood (3,139) and Patrick Henry (3,065) rounding out the top ten teams.
Also scoring for the Lady Bears were Polly Sleesman with games of 205, 114, 185 (504 series), Mya Federspiel with games of 143, 185, 156 (484 series), Allison Leininger with games of 160, 124, 159 (443 series), and Meadow Goebel with games of 126, 139, 162 (427 series).
Emma Leonard of Swanton was 28th overall. She rolled a 497 series with games of 168, 192 and 137.
The Division II girls state championship is set for Saturday, February 28 at HP Lanes in Columbus at 10 a.m.
