Bradley Lyle Weber, age 75, born April 17, 1950, in Wauseon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, surrounded by family.
Brad was born to Kermit Weber and June (Lillich) Weber, both preceding him in death.
He was raised in Wauseon as the second of nine children in a family where strength, hard work, and loyalty were part of everyday life.
After the passing of his father during Brad’s young adulthood, he stepped into responsibility and helped his mother raise his younger siblings—a quiet act of strength and devotion that shaped the man he would become.
Brad and Connie were high school sweethearts and were married on April 18, 1970, beginning a partnership that would span more than five decades and serve as the foundation of their family.
While in high school, Brad was a standout athlete. He starred as a running back on the football team, competed in basketball, and threw both shot put and discus—demonstrating a well-rounded athletic ability and toughness that stayed with him throughout his life.
A lifelong Wauseon resident, Brad took great pride in both his community and his work. He began his career in the trucking business before going on to run his own muffler repair shop, Mufflers Plus, where he built a reputation for honest work and mechanical skill.
He later dedicated 25 years to law enforcement, serving the City of Wauseon with integrity and commitment and ultimately retiring as assistant chief of police. He was known throughout the community for extending grace and treating people with fairness, often choosing understanding over punishment.
Retirement didn’t slow Brad down. He opened a computer repair shop, proving you’re never too old to learn something new, and later spent time delivering campers across the country—always happiest when he was on the move or working with his hands.
Brad had a gift for fixing things. Whether it was a household appliance, a small engine, or a vehicle that “just didn’t sound right,” he would tinker until it was fixed. If you needed help, he answered the call.
He was steady, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand. Many mornings you could find him sipping coffee with friends at Mufflers & More, solving the world’s problems one cup at a time.
Brad is survived by his loving wife, Connie Weber; his sons, Brent Weber, Lance Weber, Adam (Angela) Weber, and Drew (Grace) Weber; his cherished grandchildren, Taylor Collins, Caden Weber, Carter Weber, Stella Weber, and Braxton Weber; and his siblings, Lawrence (Diane) Weber, Jim Weber, Cathy (James) Pfost, Wendy (Sam) Hite, Vicky Bratton, Susan (Michael) Johnston, Robert (Jody) Weber, and Timothy (Kim) Weber.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Giles Patterson; brother-in-law, Norm Bratton; and grandson, Nathan Weber.
Nothing meant more to him than his family. He was present, steady, and someone his siblings, children, and grandchildren could always count on.
In his later years, Brad and Connie moved from Wauseon to Columbus, Ohio, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. During that season of life, Brad was baptized, publicly declaring and deepening his faith in Jesus Christ—a decision that brought him great peace in the years that followed.
A celebration of life honoring Brad will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at Crossroads Church, 845 E. Leggett St., Wauseon, Ohio 43567. Following the service, the family will gather for an intimate time of remembrance.
Brad will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, steady presence, and the quiet but lasting impact he made on those around him.
