COLUMBUS – Wauseon’s Kymberlee Yocom capped off a successful high school bowling career with an impressive third place finish in the Division II girls’ state bowling tournament held at HP Lanes in Columbus on Saturday, February 28.
Yocom achieved first team All-Ohio honors with games of 193-212-212 for a solid series of 617 in her final high school bowling tournament.
Zoey Gillett of Bryan, who entered the state tournament as district champion, ended up with a 24th place finish. The junior standout bowled games of 145-203-183 for a 531 series.
Also competing was Bryan’s Noah Mills in the Division II boys’ state tournament on Friday, February 27.
In his final high school tournament, Mills, a senior, who had earlier captured top individual honors in the NWOAL Tournament, bowled games of 227-173-203 for a 603 series.
