Dorothy “Dottie” M. Lauber, age 80, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Majestic Health Care in Bryan, where she had been a resident.
Dottie worked as a waitress and later at several local nursing homes including Evergreen Healthcare in Montpelier and Hillside Country Living, where she was activity director.
She attended Grace Community Church and enjoyed crafting, reading and playing cards.
Dottie was born on Aug. 21, 1945, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Paul J. and Waneta E. (Brown) Nowak.
Dottie is survived by her sons, Mitch Hartsock, of Montpelier and Mike (Teresa) Hartsock, of Wauseon; daughter, Laura Clark, of Easley, S.C.; stepsons, Jeff (Angie) Hartsock and Steve Hartsock, both of Bryan; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and sisters, Mary (Bob) Crisenbery, of Bryan and Virginia (Leroy) Hushak, of Worthington, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul “Butch” Nowak; nephew, Matt Nowak and grandson, Derrick Hartsock.
In accordance with Dottie’s wishes, no services were held. Her arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 W. Mulberry, Bryan, Ohio.
Memorials in honor of Dottie may be given to an organization of the donor’s choice.
