(Longtime Educator; Former Delta Resident)

Brian Conrad Firstenberger, age 53, of Huber Heights, Ohio, and formerly of Delta, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away at his home on March 10, 2026.

He was born in Wauseon, Ohio, on October 14, 1972, to Gary L. Firstenberger and Marty (Cook) Firstenberger. Brian graduated from Delta High School in 1991, where he excelled in both football and basketball.

He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University and later his master’s degree from the University of Dayton.

Brian began his teaching career with Upper Sandusky Schools and Delta Local Schools before dedicating the past 30 years as an English teacher with Bethel Local Schools in Tipp City, Ohio.

His passion for sports also led him to assist in coaching football and basketball throughout the years. Brian was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and greatly enjoyed following their seasons.

Nothing brightened Brian’s day more than supporting his sons in their various school activities and sporting events. Being their father was the greatest joy of his life.

Brian is survived by his sons, Nolan, Patrick, and Cullen Firstenberger of Tipp City, Ohio; his parents, Gary and Marty Firstenberger of Delta; his brother, Aaron Firstenberger of Columbus, Ohio; along with many close friends and colleagues.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 State Highway 109, Delta, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family, care of Gary or Marty Firstenberger, for the continued education of Brian’s sons. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
