Terry L. Miller, age 77, of Archbold, passed away Sunday evening, March 15, 2026, at CHP In-Patient Hospice surrounded by his family.
He was born July 5, 1948, in Wauseon, the son of Floyd “Fritz” and Verna (Sauder) Miller. A 1966 graduate of Archbold High School, he went on 1-W to Pueblo, Colo., as a nurse orderly.
Terry married Judy Double on June 19, 1971, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 2016. He worked at Sauder Manufacturing for 47 years before retiring in 2013.
He was a lifelong member of Tedrow Mennonite Church, where he was in charge of the sound system, janitor, usher, groundskeeper, and delivered bulletins and cassette tapes of the services to shut-ins.
He is survived by his children, April (Shawn) Miller Turner of Madison, Va.; Chris (Tina) Miller of Sherwood; and Nathaniel “Vinnie” (Breanne) Miller of Archbold; four granddaughters, Olivia, Makenzie, Alexis and Arianna; one grandson, Christian; siblings Craig (Lois), Merrill (Trish), Becky (Randy) Kauffman, Eileen (Richard) Nyce and Elaine (Brent) Winzeler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy; and a grandson, Zebediah Miller.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 18, at 4 p.m. at Tedrow Mennonite Church with Pastor Doug King officiating. Private interment will be in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be given to Defiance CHP In-Patient Hospice.
