Alfiea E. Thompson, age 79, of Pioneer, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Ayden Healthcare of Waterville. Alfiea was a dental assistant for over 20 years working in Waterville, Holland and the Toledo Correctional Facility.
She loved life, joking, decorating, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and her beloved kitty, Misti, and dog, Sadie.
Alfiea was born on Jan. 28, 1947, in Toledo, the daughter of William “Denver” and Nora (Nolan) Spurlock. She married Steven M. Thompson on April 6, 1996, in Boston, Mass., and he survives.
Alfiea is also survived by her son, Roger Lutman, of Clinton, Tenn.; daughter, Lynn (Paul) Thomas, of Holland, Ohio; grandchildren, Amber Martinez, Nicole Thomas, Madison Thomas, Grace Thomas, Jeremy Haynes and Angel Lutman; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Easton, Leon and Emmett; sisters, Lynn Pack and Janis (Robert) Tatkowski, both of Clinton, Tenn., Sue (Thomas) McDonald, of Oregon, Ohio, Robin Hackler, of Louisville, Ky., and brother, Denver (Ruby) Spurlock, of Clinton, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Ryan Thomas and great-granddaughter, Blakely Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. Interment will be in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer.
