(1949 Graduate Of Delta High School)

Sue Marie Biddle, age 95, of Delta, passed away early Thursday morning, April 2, 2026, at Embassy of Swanton. After a long and meaningful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories, Sue’s passing marks the end of a life well lived.

She was born in Delta on March 13, 1931, one of five children to Merlin Falor and Mary (Tappan) Falor. Sue graduated from Delta High School in 1949 and soon after married the love of her life, Kenneth Biddle, on October 22, 1949. Together, they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on February 16, 2018.

Before retiring, Sue was employed with BancOhio, formerly Peoples Savings Bank. She was a devoted and active member of Delta United Methodist Church (Hope Church of Delta) and the Delta American Legion Auxiliary, where she proudly served as a past president.

In her earlier years, Sue had a special talent for sewing and enjoyed making her own clothing. She also loved cooking, playing cards with friends, camping, and traveling with her husband and family.

They cherished their time wintering in Florida and Texas. Above all, Sue’s greatest joy in life was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her son, Roger (Debbie) Biddle of Millbury, Ohio; grandchildren, Thomas Wayne (Amanda) Hawkins, Kevin Biddle, and Nicole (Rodney) Hawkins-Ward; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Lucas Hawkins, Leah, Lauren, and Lilly McJilton, and Liam Ward. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Wayne Biddle in 1974; daughter, Jane M. Hawkins on February 15, 2024; son-in-law, Steven “Hawk” Hawkins on August 23, 2022; brothers, James and Ray Falor; and sisters, Marilyn Clay and Nancie Beaverson.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta, with an American Legion Auxiliary Service at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Sue’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Kent Winkler officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the Delta American Legion.

Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the Delta American Legion Auxiliary, 5939 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515 in her memory. Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
