Jackie Sue DayJackie Sue Day, 63, of Pioneer passed away Friday evening at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on January 29, 1953 in Montpelier to Wendell Ray and Emma Mae (Mead) Berkebile. On March 5, 1971 she married Lawrence “Corky” O. Day and he survives.

She is survived by her husband Corky; three daughters, Nicky (John) Toms of Edgerton, Frankie (Matthew) Chapman of Ney, Ohio, Dawn (Dale) Haag of Montpelier; one son Shane O. Day of Columbus; six grandchildren; three sisters, Connie (Jerry) Zimmerman of Bryan, Donna (Roger) Pannell of Montpelier and Emily (Nate Bond) Lee of Montpelier; and one brother Randy (Irene) Berkebile of Bryan.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ray and Daniel Berkebile, and twin brothers Clyde and Richard Berkebile.

Visitation for Jackie will be on Wednesday, February 17th from 10am-1pm and 5-8pm at the Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home on Empire Street in Montpelier.


Memorial contributions may be given to Defiance County Humane Society. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
