Janet Mary SteusloffJanet Mary Steusloff, age 70, of Delta, peacefully passed away Wednesday evening, March 30, 2016 at Swanton Health Care.  She was born in Delta on April 25, 1945 to Harold and Mary (Fortney) Krauss.  Janet was a 1963 graduate of Delta High School, where she participated in cheerleading, the Homemakers of America club and was homecoming queen. On June 15, 1963 she married Roger L. Steusloff in Delta and he survives.

Janet worked as a bank teller for Peoples Savings Bank for many years.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Delta.  Janet enjoyed canning and sewing. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.

Janet is survived by her husband, Roger; parents, Harold and Mary Krauss; son, David Steusloff, of Liberty Center; a granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce Krauss in Florida; sisters, Marcy (Jay) LeFevre, Teresa (Frank) Wurns and Penny (Dick) Sintobin, all of Delta, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson and a sister-in-law, Julie Ann Krauss.

Friends will be received from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.  A funeral service for Janet will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 4, 2016, also at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 375 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08034 or to Trinity Lutheran Church, 410 Taylor Street, Delta, Ohio 43515 in Janet’s memory.
