Edon 2016 Easter Egg Hunt - LHF(13) WEBIt was an egg-citing start to the 2016 Easter Weekend when Theta Kappa Sorority played host to the area’s annual Easter Egg Hunt at Walz Park. Over one hundred egg-static children and their families ventured out on a sunny Saturday morning to eggs-plore Edon’s Community Building and fresh, green lawns in search of brightly colored eggs left by the Easter Bunny herself.

Once again, much-appreciated donations from area sponsors (Best Insurance, Blakeslee Knights of Columbus Council #3883, Edon Area Chamber of Commerce, Edon Dairy Treat, Edon Family Chiropractic, Edon Farmers Co-Op, Edon Golf Course, Edon Lions Club, Edon State Bank, Fraternal Order of Police, Mark P. Trausch Family, Mohre Electronics, Precise Metal Form, Slattery Oil Company, Superior Appraisal, Thiel Construction), afforded committee members the opportunity to provide not only a boy’s and girl’s prize for each age-appropriate drawing, but to also present “goody bags” to children participating in the big hunt.
