Mary Ann Gable

Mary Ann Gable, 84, of Alvordton passed away early Wednesday morning at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier.  She was born on October 24, 1931 in Monroe County, Michigan to Edward and Sevilla (Wandt) Guldi.  On May 5, 1950 she married Robert P. Gable and he survives.  Mary Ann was a member of the Alvordton United Brethren Church.

Mary Ann was employed as a waitress in Fayette, Ohio.  She also worked at an egg plant in Hudson, Michigan before retiring in November 1996 from Trim Trend in Bryan, Ohio.  Mary Ann enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert; son Michael P. (Brenda) Gable of Alvordton; and daughter Diane (Jeff) Carpenter of Waldron, Michigan; five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Guldi, and sister Marjorie Crunkilton.

Visitation for Mary Ann will be on Saturday, May 14th from 10:00-11:30am at the Alvordton United Brethren Church in Alvordton.  Services will follow at 11:30am at the church with Reverend Dan VanArsdalen and Reverend Keith Smith to officiate.  Mary Ann will be laid to rest at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Alvordton.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Alvordton United Brethren Church or Evergreen Manor Activity Fund.  Online condolences can be left at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
