Georgianna Weaver

Georgianna (Pifer) WeaverGeorgianna (Pifer) Weaver, age 93, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:50 P.M. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Tendercare Health Center, in Munising, Michigan, where she was a resident. Mrs. Weaver was born on July 7, 1923, in Waldron, Michigan, the daughter of Estel D. and Geneva (Pierson) Pifer. She graduated from Waldron High School and on July 20, 1941, she married Bruce W. Hillard and they moved to Bryan, where they lived for one year when Bruce was called into the military. They returned to Bryan in 1945. To this union was born a daughter and a son. Bruce passed away on October 4, 1979.

Georgianna was an active member of the Bryan First Church of Christ, where she was a member and past president of several circles and also served as secretary-treasurer for many years, and a member of the Women’s Council, of which she also served as secretary and treasurer. She taught Sunday School for many years and was involved with the Mission Program as treasurer for many years and also served the church as a deaconess. She was a member of the Bay View Study Club, serving in several offices and as president, was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and served as a girl scout leader. In later years she was a volunteer at the hospital in Bryan.

During Georgianna’s work career she worked for Wilbur Donaldson Ford, Gorney-Winzeler and Bryan Truck Line, Inc., with a total of twenty-eight years of employment.
On September 23, 1989, she was united in marriage to William H. Weaver, who preceded her in death on June 2, 1998.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruthann (Leo) Siebenaler, of Edon, Ohio; one son, Kenneth (Antoinette) Hillard, of Munising, Michigan; a stepson, David (Sue) Weaver, of Perrysburg, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Nancy Weaver, of Panama City, Florida; six grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson and one great-grandson.
