Saturday, October 8 Scoring Summaries

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Edon was defeated by Edgerton scores were: 21-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-13, 11-15. The Bomber were led by the trio of Olivia Radabaugh, Hannah Kaylor and Shaylee Manahan. Radabaugh collected 11 service aces while Kaylor and Manahan finished with 13 and 12 kills respectively.

Fayette, competing in a non-conference tri-match, fell to Holgate with scores of 20-25, 25-18, and 19-25 and then were bested by Fairview with scores of 19-25 and 18-25.

JUNIOR VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Edon JV defeated Edgerton scores were: 25-16, 25-18. (No individual statistics were submitted.)

FRESHMEN VOLLEYBALL

Edon freshman defeated Edgerton scores were: 17-25, 22-25, 25-23. (No individual statistics were submitted.)

BOYS VARSITY SOCCER

Ottawa Hills  2, Pettisville 1

The Blackbirds fell to Ottawa Hills in a non-conference game. Scoring the lone goal for Pettisville was Connor Wyse.  Ottawa Hills outshot Pettisville 8 -4.

St. Mary’s 3, Bryan 1

The Golden Bears traveled to St. Mary’s Memorial and finished on the short end of the non-league battle.  Atland Sayarath scored the goal for the Golden Bears, assisted by Tyler Manon.  Evan Smith recorded six saves in goal.

BOYS JUNIOR VARSITY SOCCER

St Mary’s 10, Bryan 1

Bryce Harris scored the goal for Bryan unassisted.

BOYS VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY

The Pettisville Blackbirds took part in the Fostoria Invitational.  Pettisville, running in the Black Division race, had three finishers in the 167 runner-field.  Logan Rufenacht was the top finisher for the Blackbirds running 17th in 18:10. The other two finishers included: Ben Gray (18th, 18:14) and Caleb Nolander (44th, 19:04).

The Montpelier Locomotives took part in the 43rd Hudson Booster Invitational. The boys ran to a 4th place finish with 92 points. Runners for the Locomotives included: Jared Rediger (8th, 17:35), Michael Blake (13th, 17:59), Alec Waterston (21st, 18:29), William Belknap (31st, 19:13), Austin Miller (37th, 19:23), Kolden Uribes (44th, 19:36) and Brandon Eitniear (63rd, 20:14).

GIRLS VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY

Pettisville captured the top spot at the Fostoria Invitational in the 15 team and 158 participant race.  Running in the Black Division, Elizabeth Sauder was the top Blackbird finisher with a second place time of 19:47. Other Pettisville runners included: Alexa Leppelmeier (3rd, 19:53), Nichole Foor (5th, 20:04), Kate Stuber (18th, 21:07), Kelly Miller (19th, 21:16), Morgan Leppelmeier (24th, 21:40), Sarah Foor (44th, 22:58), Krystine Davis (82nd, 24:56), Sarah Herring (86th, 25:08) and Katie Hauter (148th, 31:41).

Montpelier ran to a 6th place finish with 164 points at the 43rd Hudson Booster Invitational. The top finisher for the Locomotives was Jacqueline Carlson running 12th in 21:33. Other Montpelier competitors included: Kimme Engels (20th, 22:12), Lydia Grime (40th, 23:38), Brinn Miller (42nd, 23:47) and Mary Joe McBride (87th, 33:56).

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH CROSS COUNTRY

The Pettisville Blackbirds ran to a 7th place finish at the Fostoria Invitational. A total of 76 runners took part in the race. Leading Pettisville was: Karsyn Hostetler (8th, 13:40), Ellie Wixom (36th, 15:45), Madeline Shumaker (63rd, 18:44), Anna Hudspeath (67th, 19:56), and Mayzie Clark (71st, 21:15).

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH CROSS COUNTRY

Of the 116 runners at the Fostoria Invitational, The Pettisville Blackbirds were represented by runners Max Leppelmeier (1st, 11:21), Josh Basselman (91st, 15:59) and Dominic Heising (109th, 18:19).
