Marcella J. Baker

Marcella J. Baker, 78 years, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance. Marcella was born March 20, 1938 in Stryker, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Herbert and Vera (Kuszmaul) Coy. She worked in food service at the Ohio Turnpike and previously worked at Ross McBride Laundromat. Marcella is a member of Eastland Baptist Church. In her free time, Marcella liked bird watching, fishing, camping and simply enjoyed nature.

Surviving are her three sons, David (Kathy) Byers of Bryan, Dennis (Patricia) Byers of Napoleon and Leonard Byers of Bryan; five grandchildren, Kaleb Byers, Kanna Byers, Barb (Tony) Kuhn, Steve (Crystal) Rhoden, and Jenny (Dave) Levay; one great-grandson, Channing Rhoden; two sisters, Joyce Lilly of Antwerp, and Marilyne Underwood of Bryan. Marcella was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Coy.

A memorial service for Marcella J. Baker will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Eastland Baptist Church, 1229 East High Street, Bryan, with Pastor Jeff Sheldon Officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Williams County Humane Society or Eastland Baptist Church.
