After the war, Elizabeth was devoted to raising their family and caring for their needs. She was a member of the West Unity United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; one daughter, Betsy Keefer; infant son, John F. Oberlin and one brother, Fred Harker.

There will be no visitation and memorial services for Elizabeth will be held at a date in the late
spring of 2017. Interment will be made in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity, Ohio.
