Gary Reamsnyder (1950-2013)

cornhole champs 12-2-12 WEBGary A. Reamsnyder, 62, of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida passed away on March 14, 2013 in Leesburg, Florida. Gary was born on March 28, 1950 in Wauseon to Robert and Thelma (Strayer) Reamsnyder. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1968. Gary honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Prior to moving to Florida in 1981, Gary worked at Miller Brothers Trucking in Archbold and for Thermogas in Montpelier. While living in Florida, he worked as an Animal Control Specialist for the City of Wildwood.

He was an active member with the American Legion of Wildwood, Florida as well as a previous member of the American Legion in Edon, Ohio. Gary had a love for riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting.

Gary leaves behind his daughter Stacey (T.J.) Richardson of Nixa, Missouri, sister Susan M. (Dale) Rockey of Montpelier, four grandchildren Madalyn, Landon, Angel and Logan, one niece, and one nephew.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, who both passed away in 2010.

A memorial service was held in Wildwood, Florida on March 17, 2013. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery at a later date, where graveside rites will be performed by the Montpelier Veterans. Donations may be made in Gary’s memory to the Williams County Veterans Memorial Building. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
