Leota Eldred Novak Beery, age 88, of Wauseon passed away early March 13, 2017 at the Kingston Care Center in Sylvania. Prior to her retirement she was a bus driver for Swanton schools, and had been an LPN at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee and the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.
Leota, the daughter of the late Vernon and the late LaNora (Miller) Eldred, was born on February 11, 1929 in Delta, Ohio . She was a member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Swanton.
Surviving are her children: Theresa (Terry) Simpson of Sun City, AZ, Kathy Millenbaugh of Delta, Joseph Novak of Wakeman, OH, Michael Novak of Swanton, Linda (Jim) Chambers of Bowling Green and Lynne (Eric) Watkiss of South Riding, VA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death besides her parents and siblings was son, LCPL Thomas Novak.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday March 18, 2017 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. Interment will follow in the St. Richard’s Cemetery in Swanton. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00am until service time.
