Clela Drum (1924 – 2017)

Clela L. Drum, 92 years, of Bryan passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Community Health and Wellness Center, Bryan Hospital, with her family by her side.

Clela was born December 6, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Samuel O. and Estella (McKee) Overly.

She was a 1942 graduate of Farmer High School. Clela married Virgil W. Drum on April 21, 1946 in Edgerton, Ohio and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1996.

Clela was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. In her free time, Clela enjoyed baking pies, reading, gardening, and art. She cherished spending time with her family and those she loved.

Surviving are her 5 children, Bruce (Pamela Neff) Drum of Columbia, Maryland, Rebecca (Peter) Mielke of Hillsdale, Michigan, Mary Ann (Gary) Edgell of Powell, Ohio, Linda Nemire of Bryan, Ohio, and Amy (Eric) Sickel of Bryan, Ohio; eight Grandchildren, Rachel (Andrew Fister) Drum, Kevin (Mandy) Drum, Erin Drum, Adam Mielke, Heather (Jeremy) Ashmore, Michael Nemire, Kurtis (Tiffany) Sickel, and Kristopher Sickel, and ten Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation for Clela L. Drum will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home-Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Clela will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Terry Bobziene officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 106 Detroit Street, Williams Center, Ohio 43506, or Charity of The Donor’s Choice.
