Nola M. Buehrer (1928-2013)

Nola M. Buehrer, age 84, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at her home in Wauseon. She was born in Stryker, Ohio on July 31, 1928 to Harry and Meta Buehrer. Nola was a registered nurse having worked at Fulton County Hospital, for Dr. Vogel, and in private duty nursing.

Nola enjoyed working outside especially in her flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed canning, baking and knitting afghans. Nola also enjoyed attending the various activities of her nephews, niece, great-nephews and great-nieces. Nola was an avid traveler taking frequent trips to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and the Amish country around Shipshewana, Indiana, and Holmes County, Ohio. Nola will always be remembered for her sense of humor.

Surviving Nola are her brother Huber Buehrer (Charline) of Maumee, Oh; nephews, Scott Buehrer (Suzanne), Kent Buehrer (Hong), Brent Buehrer (Michelle), Brett Buehrer (Dana), Trent Buehrer (Janice); niece, Cynthia Smith (Gregory); and great-nephews and great-nieces Brandon, Ashley, and Lindsey Smith; Grant, Drew, and Cate Buehrer; Madeline, Graeme, and Charlotte Buehrer; and Adam and Jacob Buehrer. Nola was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Anna Buehrer.

Memorials may be given to Sara’s Garden in Wauseon or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are being handled by Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.GrisierFH.com.
