Robert K. Beaverson, 77, of rural Fayette, died Thursday afternoon, April 19, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and caregivers. Born July 14, 1940, in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Esta (Frey) Beaverson.  Bob lived his entire life on the same farm in rural Fayette. He was a 1958 graduate of Gorham-Fayette High School. He married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Volkman of Ridgeville Corners, on October 21, 1961.

In addition to crop farming throughout his life, he also worked for several years at the former Fayette Tubular Products. Later, in 1994, he started his own business, Bob Beaverson Construction, where he proudly applied his talented skill of carpentry to numerous customers in the area, and formed many relationships.

Bob had a lifelong passion for farming, woodworking, fishing, and sports. In later years, he and Ruth Ann enjoyed many seasons of camping near and far with their local camping group, the Stateline Campers.

Surviving are his wife of over 56 years, Ruth Ann; two daughters, Pamela (Thomas) Wiemken of Defiance, and Shelly (Brian) Hite of Archbold; his only sibling, Barbara Phillips of Fayette; and four grandchildren, Jared Hite, Jordan Hite, Leah Wiemken, and Logan Wiemken.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, April 22, from 1-8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette. A funeral service for Bob will be begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23, at Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church near Archbold with James Basinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider memorial donations in Bob’s honor to benefit Fulton County Relay for Life, Great Lakes Caring Hospice, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Friends can share memories and words of comfort with the family online at www.eaglefuneralhomes.com.
